Oh how I miss this boy! I was so looking forward to him becoming an adult and being a peer that I walk through life with. All of the things to look forward to! Graduation, college athletics, marriage, children, financial success, and finally beating him at darts in my garage… It’s hard to reconcile that God had something else in store for us but that is the truth. Caden’s favorite quote is from Jackie Robinson and it is that “A life isn’t significant except for its impact on other lives.” Well I’d say in a quick almost 17 years #17 made a significant impact!
God is always working and he is always Good. He brings light to darkness and nothing is impossible with God. I would encourage anyone going through any situation to surrender to the will of God. It may not be what feels good to you and it may be messy walking it out but at least there will be peace that surpasses understanding and a hope knowing that our story isn’t our own and that we can be used to fulfill God’s purposes in the earth and certainly impact the age to come. Humans are eternal and that’s just a biblical truth. Do not wait to start living until you die!!!! Ask the Lord to come into your life into your very being and I promise you nothing will ever be the same…
